What are Necesse Tampons made of?

Necesse Tampons are made from quality 100% organically grown cotton. Free from fragrances, synthetic materials and herbicides/pesticides. Necesse Tampons are also biodegradable.

How does my purchase benefit other women?

As a social enterprise, making a positive social and environmental contribution is at the core of what we do. Our Necesse Subscribers are helping restore dignity to women in New Zealand who have limited access to feminine hygiene products.

For every subscriber order sent out each month we donate a box worth of tampons to women in need through our charitable partner Aviva.

Who are your charitable partners?

We’re proud to have partnered with Canterbury based family violence support and services charity Aviva (formerly the Christchurch Women’s Refuge).

With a growing subscriber base, we will soon be able to bring on a new charitable partner - keep an eye out for updates!

How does the subscription work?

A Necesse Tampon Subscription means you can put tampon buying on autopilot.

All you need to do is pick the size tampons you want delivered (regular, super or a combination of both) and how often you want them delivered (either monthly or bi-monthly) - we’ll take care of the rest and deliver your customised subscription direct to your door for 6 months.

It’s easy to resubscribe, simply click back to website at the end of your 6 month subscription and renew your subscription for another 6 months!

When are deliveries made?

Deliveries are made on the 1st of each month. You will receive an email notifying you when your order is on its way.

What is the difference between monthly and bi-monthly subscriptions?

If you chose to have your Necesse Tampons delivered monthly, you will receive two boxes every month for 6 months (6 deliveries in total).

If you chose to have your Necesse Tampons delivered on a bi-monthly basis, you will recieve four boxes every second month for 6 months (3 deliveries in total).

Why is bi-monthly cheaper?

As our bi-monthly subscriptions are delivered every second month, the reduced shipping costs are passed on direct to you, as reflected in the price.

How does payment work?

Once you’ve selected the type of subscription that best fits your needs, make a one-off payment at check out and have tampons delivered to your door for the next 6 months!

Is postage/delivery included in the subscription fee?

Yes! As a locally owned and operated NZ business we are proud to have partnered with NZ Post to deliver our packages via Courier Post, all delivery costs are included in the cost of the subscription.

What size tampons does Necesse offer?

Necesse Tampons are available in two sizes; regular and super.

Can I order a regular/super tampon combination?

Yes! Our subscriptions are customisable to your needs - you can choose to have either regular, super or half and half mix of both tampon sizes delivered in your order.

Are organic cotton tampons just as reliable as synthetic products?

Yes. Necesse organic cotton tampons are comfortable, convenient and reliable and may also reduce irritation due to being made from 100% organic cotton rather than synthetics.

Do you offer Necesse Pads or Liners?

We are in the process of bringing new products to our subscription offers - keep an eye out for updates!

Can I give a Necesse Subscription as a gift?

Of course! It’s easy to share the love by gifting a Necesse Subscription - simply enter the name and address of the person you are gifting to when you get to check out, and we’ll deliver your chosen subscription to their door for 6 months.

Do you offer international shipping?

At this stage we are only offering delivery to New Zealand residential or business addresses but we hope to be able to offer international shipping in the near future - sign up to our newsletter to be the first to know!

Can you ship to a business address within New Zealand?

Yes! We can ship to a residential or business address within New Zealand. Once you place an order on our website, you will be able to track delivery online. Please make sure you enter your delivery address accurately at check out.
